50 Fun Things For A Hybrid Boomer To Do – Take a Break

November 17, 2025

The Hybrid Boomer loves to travel, but recently I chose a staycation and spent time exploring my own city. When we think about things to see and places to visit, we often overlook what’s right in our own backyard. It’s easy to miss the experiences that visitors seek out when they come to town, fun and interesting things that locals tend to take for granted. Approaching your own city like a visitor can change that. Take a city tour, visit a local museum or gallery, explore historic homes, or try a restaurant you’ve never visited before. Discover what your city is known for and allow yourself to indulge for a day or two. You may be surprised to find there’s enough nearby to fill an entire week, or more.

Check out this list of fun things for a Hybrid Boomer to do to get away from the hustle and grind of work inside your home. Take a break to have some fun!
